One Veteran’s Commitment to Power Packs Project

Power Packs Project Administrative Assistant Medoza Ameen had the great honor to be a guest at Keith Brown’s County of Lancaster Veteran’s Court Commencement on Thursday, June 14. One of Keith’s graduation requirements was 80 hours of community service and he accomplished it by setting up multiple protein drives for Power Packs Project, raising hundreds of pounds of protein with his fellow Veteran’s Court participants. Keith also has another $200 worth of peanut butter that is on its way next week. During the program a donation collection for our mission was started with a matching gift pledged by Senior Probation Office Mary Krout.  Medoza was presented with a check for $1000 that had been raised by the graduates and officers of Veteran’s Court at the ceremony.

We were so touched by not only his generous spirit and commitment to Power Packs Project but also by his story and his commitment to his fellow veterans and Court officers. His speech moved the entire room to tears and we thank him for his service.
